Makiko started her equity research career at Yamaichi Securities in 1995. After a brief career at Zurich Insurance, She spent 7 years at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (renamed BlackRock) as an analyst/fund manager, covering retail, toiletry, foods games, services and software. She also gained 3 years of experience in a domestic hedge fund, Evarich Asset Management. In 2011, she joined ING Mutual Funds.
Education: BA from University of Tokyo. She is a CMA charter holder.
